Trip Update.... Not there Yet! :)

Hello all!.....

I haven't really had too much to update on seeing how I'm not even there yet. But I did just want to update everyone on fundraising and small updates about more of what I will be doing there.

When people ask me if I'm getting excited I tend to tell them yes. I mean.... yeah I am excited but I always feel a little disappointed in my level of excitement for them. Like I should be SUPER EXCITED!.... but I'm not.

Right now, yes I'm looking forward to it, I'm just trying to focus on preparation and living day to day in what I need to get done right now at the time being, with just day to day living. Relationships with the people here, work, etc.

So.... more of an update on what I'll be doing in Ethiopia. We have been coming up with and talking about ideas and projects we want to accomplish while we are over there and I chose teaching english. I am SO (honestly) excited about this project, because I am just so interested in it. My interest in it is due to possibly wanting to go over seas and teach english in other countries..... but that hadn't worked out for me (not because of any real reason besides the fact that I didn't go past just thinking about it). I'll be helping out with the english teaching at the Little/Big A Hope school and also in Kechene. So.... that's a little bit more about what I specifically will be trying to do over there. I know that's not really much info but I'm really not sure of everything until I actually get my hands in it.

There are 9 of us going and I've gotten to speak to them through our conference calls. We have those every two weeks on Sunday nights. It's really good to hear voices at least, of the people I am going with. It's funny because you can sense a little bit of each of there personalities. It will be so fun to finally meet everyone in the airport.

I do know that we are in need of some supplies if anyone is willing to gather some stuff, or has anything on hand. We are in need of a projector if anyone has one of those or if your church is has some old equipment that they are willing to give away. We also need women's clothing for when we go to the Women At Risk center.

Financially, I am at about 75% of all funds raised! That is so great! But for some reason I am still nervous about it. I know it will all come in.... but I don't think that feeling will go away until it is all raised, you know? I am SO thankful for those that have donated and or are praying. I cannot go on this trip without you and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For those of you who will be receiving scarves or bracelets, it may take awhile.... but don't worry :) I've been knitting away like crazy. And please don't tell me if you are thinking it..."you don't have to make me a scarf" because it is something I enjoy and I want to do it.... you just might not get it until the end of the year :) haha
